Job Opportunity: Liquidity Financial Controller / Auditor

About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Liquidity Financial Controller / Auditor to join our Finance team in Lisbon. You will play a key role in supporting our stream leader in the supervision and control of liquidity and resolution reporting processes across the Group.

This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic, international environment, contribute to strategic control frameworks, and interact with stakeholders across multiple regions and business lines.

Your Mission

As a Liquidity Financial Controller / Auditor, you will:

Contribute to maintaining and enhancing the Liquidity-Resolution generic control library.

Support the implementation of 2LoD control frameworks and certification processes.

Prepare and present syntheses of control results for relevant committees and stakeholders.

Execute risk-based testing on controls performed by central teams.

Follow up on internal and external audit recommendations related to Liquidity/Resolution.

Coordinate annual LROD/LROC campaigns and support regulatory interactions (ECB, external auditors, IG).

Liaise with regional teams to gather, challenge, and validate control information impacting data quality.

What Were Looking For
Technical Skills & Experience

Minimum 4 years experience in control, finance, or audit

Strong accounting and financial reporting expertise.

Solid understanding of operational risk and regulatory environments in the banking or financial sector.

Flexibility to manage workload peaks during closing periods.

Language Skills

English: Expert (mandatory).

Soft Skills

Strong organizational and analytical abilities.

Critical thinking and a continuous improvement mindset.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Detail-oriented, rigorous, and able to challenge and validate information effectively.
